Angela Marie Owens

Angela Marie Owens, 51, of Dennison, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover. Born February 3, 1968 in Lorain, Ohio, she was a daughter of Ernesto Porco and the late Janet Marie (Povick) Porco.

A local resident for most of her life, Angie was a 1986 graduate of Carrollton High School and Buckeye JVS. She was a loving mother, daughter and sister who cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her sons whom she loved dearly. She was a team mom for the North End Tigers for 13 years and enjoyed playing pool in her spare time. Angie was a waitress for several area restaurants, including her father’s restaurant (Chef Ernie’s) and did custom floral arrangements, but will be best remembered for her wonderful cookies and candies.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her sons, Mikey Owens and Parker Owens; Jaxx Morris who was like a grandson to her; siblings, Elisa Wagner, Tina (Ron) Amstutz, Ernie Porco II, Mike (Misty) Porco, Julia Porco, Peggy (Mike) Hayes, Kathy, Bob (Lisa) Alsept, and Eric Alsept; friend and former spouse, David Owens; nieces and nephews, Cassandra, Nikki, Ernie, Rochelle, Lindsey, Ashley, Chelsea, Lauren, Ian, Luke, Vanessa, Nathan, Amanda, Katie, Travis, Dustin, Cory, Eddie, Logan, Aaron, Alex, Taylor, Alexa, Aleia, and Kaden; great-nieces and great-nephews, Hunter, Grayson, Gavin, Theo, Luca, Easton, Gannon, Raelyn, Rowan, Molly, Owen, Breezy, Haylee, and Luke; father-in-law, William G. Owens; brother- and sister-in-law, Kevin and Amy Owens; many dear friends; and a large extended family, including aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Michael Povick and Opal Parrish, and paternal grandparents, Matteo and Angela Porco.

Services, officiated by Pastor Sam Brown, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
