Angel K Hackney

January 13, 1972 — February 3, 2011

Angel K Hackney, 39, of Dennison, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio. Born January 13, 1972 in Dover, she was a daughter of Michael Dean Howell, Sr. and Betty Lou (Ellwood) Howell of Tuscarawas.

A lifelong resident of the area, Angel was a graduate of Claymont High School in the class of 1990 and a graduate of Kent State University, earning a summa cum laude Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice. She was a longtime employee of the First National Bank of Dennison, having been the bank manager of the Schoenbrunn branch for many years.

Angel was looking forward to celebrating her fifteenth wedding anniversary with her husband, Mark Andrew Hackney, to whom she was married on May 18, 1996. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also survived by her two sons, Joshua Nathanielle Bollon and Jacob Vincent Fawcett, both of the home; a brother, Michael D. (Terri) Howell, Jr. of New Philadelphia; two sisters, April (Bill) Crites of Dennison and Carlene Howell of Uhrichsville; grandparents, Bill and Stella Ellwood and Vera Howell, all of Uhrichsville; mother-in-law, Jenny Hackney of Freeport; brothers-in-law, David, Brian (Stacy), Joe and Shawn Hackney; many nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends, including her best friend, Kurt Bright. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Walter “Buck” Howell, and her father-in-law, David T. Hackney.

Angel loved her family dearly and treasured the time that she spent with them. She was a huge fan of Tim McGraw and never missed going to Jamboree in the Hills each summer.

Services for Angel, officiated by Pastor David Koch, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Those wishing to honor Angel’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in which Angel participated faithfully every year.
