Andrew L. "Randy" Tinney

Andrew Lee “Randy” Tinney, 64, of Dennison, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Schoenbrunn in New Philadelphia, after a period of declining health. Born February 14, 1960 in Dennison, he was a son of Barbara (Pringle) Tinney of West Virginia and the late Donald Lee Tinney.

On August 17, 1998, Randy married Gilda Taye “Taye” (Kauffman) Tinney with whom he enjoyed 14 years of marriage until her passing on December 10, 2012. They are survived by their children, Nicole (Josh Haney) Tinney, Justin (Joni) Hanson, Erica (Rance) Weaver, and Taina (Forrest Sowards) Garbrandt; 10 grandchildren, Gage Greenwalt, Jeffery Richmond, Tayelynn Garbrandt, Xander Knestaut, Thomas Weaver, Spencer Clark, Mylie Clark, Forrest Sowards Jr., Jostalyn Hunt, and Briona Hunt; and a great-granddaughter, Delaney Greenwalt. Randy is also survived by siblings, Ronald (Eva) Tinney and Donna Ladale Tinney-Pershing, and his niece, Heather Calabro, as well as his mother. In addition to his father and wife, Randy was preceded in death by his uncle, Lee Stutler.

Randy was a lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County who loved spending time on his farm and fishing. He had been employed by Slats and Nails for a number of years.

According to Randy’s wishes, he has been cremated. On Saturday, September 28, family and friends are invited to come to the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a time of sharing memories and celebrating his life.
