Andre N. Clemons, Ii

May 16, 1991 — June 29, 2024

Andre Neil Clemons II, was born May 16th, 1991, in Dover, Ohio to Carmen Anderson-Sharp and the late Andre Clemons Sr. He departed this life for eternal rest on June 29th, 2024, at home. Andre graduated from Claymont High School in 2009 where he was part of the wrestling and football teams. He attended technical college for a while before finding his passion as a tower climber. He loved the field of tower climbing so much he introduced it to his cousins and friends and made it possible for them to provide for their individual families.

Andre leaves to cherish his memory his long-time partner Mariah Zupan; their four children, Zion Clemons, Nyomi Clemons, Malayah Clemons, and Jaiden Savage, and Andre’s son, Kamden Stout; his three beloved sisters, Latoya (Jamar) Lyles and Maegan Searcy of Dennison, OH, and Andrea Clemons of Uhrichsville, OH; his close cousin, Benjamin Ray of Columbus, OH; his grandparents, Richard Searcy Sr. and Remonia Grier of Winston-Salem, NC; his uncles, Carlos Clemons of Tampa, FL, Richard (Janet) Searcy Jr. of Uhrichsville, OH, and Antonio Searcy of Winston-Salem, NC; his aunts, Kendra Searcy of Snellville, GA, Annie Searcy and Rosa Keit of Winston-Salem, NC, and Angela (John) Searcy-Keen of Greensboro, NC; and close friends and cousin who were like brothers along with a host of other family members. Andre was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal great-grandparents; his beloved grandmothers, Beulah Searcy “Granny” and Charlayne Clemons “Grammy”; his grandfather, Samuel Clemons; and his aunt, Sherice Clemons.

Andre loved his nieces, nephews, and little cousins whom he called his “Spidey Gang” – Abreanna, MaKiah, Elijah, Jeramiah, Daxton, Oakley, Ledger, Rodgrequis, King, and Kamaurye – along with his own children. Dre held a special connection to his older nieces and nephews, Marshawn, Charles, NaKiah, Kenahdee, and Jamar Jr. Andre was beloved by his nieces and nephews. He was affectionately known as Uncle Dre. He could be found playing and trash talking with them – one of his favorite pastimes. Andre was known to organize a cookout even though he was not a cook… He loved hanging out with family and making memories. He was much like his Granny, he did not meet a stranger and welcomed everyone in his circle.

Andre was known by family and friends as Little Dre or Drizzy Dre. Andre was Granny’s and Gammy’s boy. He loved and adored them both and spent a lot of time with them. He shared a special bond with his grandmothers. When his Granny was sick, he would often be found sleeping on the floor beside her, not wanting to leave her side. He checked on her daily, as he was his Granny’s baby boy. No matter what was happening in his life, his Granny defended him without fail until she took her last breath. Dre also held a special connection with his father, big Dre. They were a duo more like brothers than father and son. He had a special bond with his mother Carmen, as well. Andre is beloved by his sisters – the three of them like surrogate mothers to him and bossing him around as the baby brother. LaToya – the main boss of course, Maegan – the levelheaded boss, and Andrea – well, she was his muscle, his partner and defender from the very start, his twin. They shared a bond like no other.

Dre was part of the “Fab Five” as they were dubbed by their Granny. The Fab Five consisted of LaToya (the ringleader), Maegan (the levelheaded one), Andrea, aka mama, (the muscle and the mother hen of the gang), and Benjamin (the comedian). Dre was the one who wanted to play and have fun. As the Fab Five grew up and became parents, Dre always wanted to get the gang together to hangout and enjoy life. Dre had the biggest heart and the warmest of smiles and a contagious laugh. Dre would truly give you the shirt of his back.

Dre was an avid video game player and was the very definition of a bandwagon fan of The Ohio State University or University of Michigan – whoever was winning is who he was cheering for. If you know our family, it is a fun rivalry as we are split Buckeyes and Wolverines. Dre was the ultimate trash talker. You could not get him started because he was not stopping. His nephew, Mar Mar, will carry the torch and make his uncle proud as he refined his trash skills during their many sessions. Our beloved Andre was not without his struggles, but he was ours and we loved him dearly. He was a huge kid with a warm smile and fun-loving heart. He will forever be missed by his loved ones.

Dre’s family will officiate a 1:00 p.m. funeral on Sunday, July 7, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where they will receive callers from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, prior to the service. He will be interred in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery on a future date. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to their favorite charity.
