Amy L. Moore

Amy L. Moore, 44, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Union Hospital in Dover after a lengthy illness. Born May 29, 1969 in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Gerald Alan Moore and Jo Ann (Hunter) Moore Knecht.

A lifelong resident of the area, Amy was a graduate of Claymont High School in the class of 1988. She attended Dennison Presbyterian Church and worked for several area home healthcare providers, most recently Tender Touch, until her declining health prevented her. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished the time that she spent with her family, especially her granddaughter who was the light of her life.

Amy’s surviving family includes her daughter, Ashley Moore of the home; son, Andrew Kreinbihl of Dennison; granddaughter, Kadence Brown of the home; brothers, Glenn (Mickey) Moore of New Philadelphia and John (Linda) Moore of Newcomerstown; her stepfather who raised her like his own, John E. Knecht of Dennison; stepsiblings, Brian (Barbara) Knecht, Dennis (Kathy) Knecht and Michele (Jody) May; nieces and nephews, Dylan, Dani, Sarah, Mackenzie, Kirsten, Kyler, Samantha, Ryan, Michele, Michael, Meghan, Marcus and Macie.

A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Carolyn Behrendt, will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison with visitation for an hour prior to the service. She will be interred in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery with her mother and maternal grandparents at a later date. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the American Diabetes Association.
