Amber Joy Ohler, 43, returned to her Lord on Saturday November 17, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.
Born on September 20, 1975 in Dennison, Ohio, she was the first and beloved daughter of Tom Grafe and Nancy Terakedis Grafe, who survive.
Amber was a 1993 graduate of Claymont High School where she met the love of her life, Chad; and together they raised their pride and joy, Macey, who was Amber’s whole world. Amber also attended Kent State University.
Besides being a loving wife, dedicated mother, devoted daughter, and fun-loving sister and aunt, Amber was an incredible friend to many. Affectionately known as “Ber-Ber” by the many children she babysat through the years, especially her nieces and nephews, those who were blessed to know and love her are forever grateful to her for helping to raise their children.
Amber was the life of any party, a rock for her family, and the best friend a person could have. To know Amber was to love her- She made any event, any gathering just so much fun.
In addition to her husband, daughter, and parents, Amber is survived by her sister Melissa (Scott) Long; brother Tommy (Brooke) Grafe; her brother in law Tim (Kristen) Ohler; her grandmother, Mildred (Sissy) Terakedis; her mother-in-law Linda Ohler; her grandparents-in-law, Robert Zay and Grace Ohler; her nieces and nephews- Chloe Long, Lauren Grafe, Carson Long, Peyton Grafe, and Cuyler Long, Garrett (Brittany) Ohler, Bryce Ohler; and numerous cousins and friends. In addition, Amber will be fondly remembered by her loving aunts and uncles-especially, Mary Ann Moreland, to whom she shared a special bond.
She was preceded by her grandfather, Fred (Turk) Terakedis; grandparents, Al and Helen Grafe; and father-in-law, Tim Ohler; grandparents-in-law, Donna Zay, and George D. Ohler; and her beloved dog, Presley.
Pastor Scot Caley will officiate her funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21, in Park Christian Church in Dennison. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville. Visitation will be 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Park Christian Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations be made to Park Christian Church and Community Hospice.
