Alvie Rennicker, Iii

James Alvin “Alvie” Rennicker, III, 19, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 15, 2010.

Born June 15, 1990 in Massillon, O., he was a son of James A. “Alvin” Rennicker, II and Laura A. (Gentry) Mangus.

Alvie was a lifelong resident of the area who attended Claymont High School before working with his father at H & M Tire. He was a devoted athlete who loved running, playing basketball and working out. He loved the outdoors and had recently developed an interest in hunting. Most of all, he loved the time that he spent with his buddies.

His surviving family includes his parents, Alvin and Lora Rennicker of Uhrichsville and Laura and Richard Mangus of Gnadenhutten; a sister, Helen M. Rennicker of Uhrichsville; two brothers, Steven A. Rennicker of Gnadenhutten and Thomas Rennicker of Uhrichsville; a dear niece, Elaina Rennicker of Uhrichsville; grandparents, Jim and Shirley Rennicker of Uhrichsville and Pam and Glenn Gentry of Bolivar; stepgrandparents, Sandy Mangus of Uhrichsville, Bill Keller of Uhrichsville, and M.J. and Lestena Lehigh of Uhrichsville; great-grandparents, Dolly and Roy Gentry of Bolivar; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Margaret “Marty” Keller, and a step grandfather, Ron Mangus.

A memorial service and celebration of Alvie’s life, officiated by Rev. Glenn Gentry, will be held on Saturday, March 20, at 7:00 p.m. in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Interment will be in Holmes Cemetery near New Philadelphia.
