Alma L. Owen

Alma L. Owen, 84, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Schoenbrunn Healthcare in New Philadelphia. Born March 19, 1930 in Harrison Co., West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Roy Armstrong Bauman and Arlice Marie (Grim) Bauman.

On November 21, 1951, Alma married Donald Lyle Owen, beginning their nearly 44 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1995. She is survived by a son, Gary (Lora) Owen of Stillwater; grandchildren, Larry (Ashley) Miller, Jr. of Dennison, Shawn (girlfriend, Mandy) Miller of New Philadelphia, Dawnielle Miller of Uhrichsville, and Sunshine and Racheal of Massillon; and great-grandchildren, Jacqi Blose, Coleson, Shawntell and Brennon Miller, and Xandrakkan and Xenica Benadum.

Alma was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who took great pride in caring for her home and her family. She also enjoyed her yellow canaries which brought her much happiness. She was a past member of the Navarre V.F.W. Post #5047 Auxiliary.

In keeping with Alma’s wishes, she will be cremated without a public visitation or service. She will be interred with her beloved husband in East Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre.
