Alfred F. Schwarze

Alfred Frederick Schwarze, 89, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation in Uhrichsville. He was born November 7, 1929 in Rochester, New York. He is survived by his daughter, Amber Schwarze, and her wife, Kaireese, of Akron.

Al proudly served his country in the United States Army at the close of World War II. He was a Military Policeman with the Armed Forces Special Weapons Project from 1946 to 1948. His experience in the Army led him to a career in law enforcement, first with the Stark County Sheriff’s office and later with a number of area security firms. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Al’s faith was an important part of his life, and he had most recently attended Park Christian Church in Dennison.

Interment in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at Rittman is planned with a military committal.
