Alberta L. "Bertie" Anderegg

November 7, 1943 — January 20, 2026

Uhrichsville, Ohio

Alberta Lucille “Bertie” Anderegg, 82, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, was reunited with her beloved husband, Paul, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, after passing away at the Ohio’s Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, Ohio. Born November 7, 1943 in Dennison, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Albert Cox Lester and Lulu Conswellia (Greenwood) Lester.

Bertie was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Dennison High School in 1961. Prior to marrying Paul Lowell Anderegg on August 21, 1965, she had worked at Tusco Grocers. She then enjoyed nearly forty-seven years of loving marriage with him until his passing on April 6, 2012. Together, they were blessed with 5 children, Harry (Lisa) Anderegg, Michael (Mona) Anderegg, Paula (Jeff) Craven, Karen (Robert) Tschudy, and Cindy (Richard Mazzoleni) Anderegg; 14 grandchildren, Paul, Gary, and Marissa Anderegg, Ashley (Mitchell) Giffen, Kayla (Adam) Lenhoff, Grant Tschudy, Sarah (Mike) McDonald, Michael (Stephanie) Hall, David (Stephanie) Hall, Alaina (Grant) Barbour, Kyle (Nicol) Craven, Ryan (Erika Atkins) Ruble, and Brian and Austin Mazzoleni; 11 great-grandchildren, Greenliegh, Logan, Ruger, Zaylea, Vinnie, Arie, Allison, Zachary, Paxton, Micah, and Anthony.

She grew up as one of seven siblings and is survived by her sister, Joe Ann McCue; sisters-in-law, Jane Andreas and Donna Lee Gunsalus; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alvin, Charles, and Herbert Lester; and sisters, Catherine Haas and Evelyn Decker.

Bertie filled more roles than just “wife and mother” could encompass, being a true partner in running the family farm with Paul. She was also skilled in all of the domestic arts – cooking, gardening, canning, and sewing for her family. Truly, her whole world revolved around her family and was filled with her love for each and every one of them.

Chaplain Dale Gruver will officiate an 11:00 a.m. funeral on Tuesday, January 27, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her late husband in Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Her family will receive callers from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring Bertie’s memory may be made to Ohio’s Hospice Foundation, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
